Spring time, when the weather is changeable

I had told everyone it was going to be nice weather today, and it was - in spite of the weatherfolk saying earlier in the week that it would be rainy and poo. The power of positive thought there, you see, and affirmations and stuff. It needed to be the nice weather because there was picnicing to be done.

While we were mid-picnic (potato pasties nearly finished, only one mini cup-cake eaten), this tiny, fluffy dog came running over to us and went bonkers on our picnic. But it was so cute, and I tried to say hello and scoop it up away from the cupcakes. He evaded my arms and scampered off to attack the picnic from another angle, at which point I made like Joey protecting his sandwich and leapt for the cakes. Cheeky wee pup.

Anyway, weather. Friday was a phew what a scorcher, brilliant, hot, the kind of hot that's summery and shouldn't make people sad about what today was like because today was proper May weather and Friday was August weather.

I took my lunch to eat down on the canal, which looks like this:

I saw the barge that takes all the rubbish down the canal. To the dump, hopefully.

We also got to knock off work a bit early and go sit up on the roof to drink beer. I like this. The view was like this: proper urban.

I drank two beers (although most of one exploded on me, so let's call it one and a half) and then two mojitos and then about a pint and a half and on Saturday I felt like A BASTARD. Why why why?
