Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004 - 6:29 p.m. Pre-teen Christmas Since last Christmas, mum has got one of them digibox thingummys, on which I have discovered a channel that does CHRISTMAS KARAOKE SONGS. BEST CHRISTMAS EVER. But there's no snow in Midlandia - WORST CHRISTMAS EVER. Also, how many times of singing Wham's 'Last Christmas' does it take before you get bored of it? Two. However, there's been a marvellous set of songs from 1991, which have taken me back to first kiss era, and singing Extreme's M0re Than Words and gazing at [what I used to think was lovely] Nuno Bettenc0urt's features brought on an ancient blush.Today was with my bro's family at one of those pubs that has play areas for small children - brilliant for my niece and nephew. My neice is a bit like MiniMe. That is, mini ME, not like Dr.Evil's small self. However, today I thought she'd shot forward ten years to the troubling teenage years (I am NOT looking forward to those in her). I was trying to get her out of the ballpit so I could go and eat my pudding (toffee appley crumbley with custard, yes please thank you) and she was putting up some resistance. I always thought I could count on our shared love of cake and similar eyes to get her to behave, but this time she said, 'you don't know what you're dealing with and something like 'go back to LOndon' !!! Why is there no snow here??
