Edinburgh rocks

OK ok, I have to just update that I was just at a tiny drinks party for top new British film (which I know the Scottish are claiming for themselves... damn the over talented bastards) 'The Last Great Wilderness' which will be coming your way soon in the next twelve monthsish, and which I recommend you see for the following reasons (see below). But first - Stine, I got a smile from Robert Carlyle!! He very cute, just like you expected. But he was with his make up artist beautiful girlfriend/wife. Also there was the main guy - Archie - from Monarch of the Glen. Terrible programme, I know - but I can assure you that he plays what ends up being a terribly charming young man in aforementioned programe, with one of the most emotionally drawing/strong sex scenes I have seen all festival (and believe me, I have seen a lot of films, and all of them have had sex in them. I am considering writing a story about a girl whose life stops because all she does is watch films about other people's interesting lives). And fucking David Byrne!!!! Can you believe that? No, me neither. Also spoke to film producers etc. - man, I love this life. So - SO - much better than book production.

And yesterday I met the wee cutie wee laddies from new British film (that is shockingly pretty good) called Out of Control, and did my first ever kind-of-interview. ie I spotted them in the delegates centre and just started talking to them. They play thug lads in the film (think 'Scum' if you have seen it) and were real wide boy-ish charmers in real life. Aaah, wheee. Only about 15 and I felt a bit like Mrs Robinson.

Anyway - enough from Edinburgh for the moment. Time to DRINK.

Enjoy - ciao.

heh.

Good reasons: totally original (amidst our total Schiess of British cinema) and you don't know where it's going to go ... and for the rest, well you have to wait for the review which will be written asap.
