Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 - 12:30 p.m. In Between Days I'm between jobs this weekend. The best thing about leaving work on Friday was my leaving present (and the cake, of course), which was ... a monkey adopted for me at London Zoo! Really approximately the best gift ever. It's a little black-capped squirrel monkey. I can't wait to go and pick him up and bring him for half-term chez moi. When I told my mum she said that when she was 5, a monkey at London Zoo took the ribbon from her hair. She's obviously still a bit upset about it so I hope she can grow to love her new adopted grandchild.I spent much of the last week at work doing comprehensive handover notes. Halfway through I had the genius idea of turning them into an interactive web page, so instead of saying 'go to xxxxxxxxxx to find the instructions' I could just put a link in. I was impossibly proud of this and how whizzy it all looked, but my boss just kept laughing at me. Eventually I got out of him that it was because it was the only thing at work I'd been excited about in three months. Which is true, but whose bad? Anyway, tomorrow = new job, new start, early start, and slightly less money coming in. Eeek. So I'm starting to flog stuff on Ebay. But I'm a really terrible seller and not doing too well. But you'd like a hand knitted iPod cover, wouldn't you?
